our 15th anniversary ...

What a fun 15 years!!!!

 

 

Before you marry, you think you know all there is to know about your special someone. However, you never really know someone until you get married & have to share a bathroom with them.

On your wedding day, you think there is no way you could possibly love your spouse more than you do at that moment. However, you have no idea how much that love will grow as you share life together over the years!

While marriage is the hardest thing you'll ever do ... it is the most rewarding & special relationship you will ever experience. It takes a lot of patience, pride-swallowing, forgiveness, grace, & FUN ... you can't forget the FUN!

A few things I try to remember:
 

Be your spouse's biggest fan ... not their biggest critic.

 

Make them be glad to come home ... not dread it.

 

When you feel like sending them to the moon ... send them a love note instead.

 

Instead of saying, "I told you so" ... tell them, "I'm sorry that didn't turn out the way you wanted."

 

Be sincere ... not sarcastic.

 

Don't expect perfection ... you'd hate for them to expect perfection from you.

 

Instead of holding a grudge ... hold onto each other.

 

Marriage isn't easy ... don't make it harder.

And ... keep Christ at the center of everything you do ... He has a way of making problems seem smaller & happy times happier.



We certainly don't have it all figured out. We learn something new about each other almost every single day.  We drive one another nuts sometimes. We laugh, we cry, we huff, we puff, we hug, we laugh a little bit more. We are in this together & have promised if one of us leaves, the other one is going with them! We are in it for the long haul!
